DAN DA DAN Season 2 revealed two new trailers, teasing new battles and the ending theme song by WurtS. The anime first director, Abel Góngora.
The ending theme song is “Doukashiteru” (“Something’s Wrong with Him/Her?”). It is previewed in the first trailer titled “Friendship & Love,” which shows Momo and Okarun getting closer romantically, along with everyday high school moments featuring Aira, Jiji, and the group. The second trailer is titled “Occult & Battle” and features the opening theme “On the Way” by AiNA THE END. It features more action, and you can watch it below.
The second season is again animated by studio Science SARU, with Abel Góngora ing Fuga Yamashiro as the co-director. Hiroshi Seko in charge of the series composition and Naoyuki Onda as the character designer. Both Crunchyroll and Netflix are streaming the first season of the anime, and they both confirmed that they will stream the sequel. The main Japanese voice cast consists of:
- Natsuki Hanae as Jin ‘Jiji’ Enjoji
- Shion Wakayama as Momo Ayase
- Natsuki Hanae as Ken ‘Okarun’ Takakura
- Nana Mizuki as Seiko Ayase
- Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo-Granny
- Kazuya Nakai as Serpoian Alien
- Ayane Sakura as Aira Shiratori
Yukinobu Tatsu writes and draws the DAN DA DAN manga, which has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform since 2021. The story follows a high school girl Momo and her classmate Ken Takakura. Momo comes from a family of spirit mediums, while Ken is a follower of the occult. After a challenge gone wrong, Ken (now known as Okarun) gets cursed and ends up with yokai powers.
We had to chance to interview both the Japanese and English voice cast of DAN DA DAN. From the Japanese cast, we spoke with Abby Trott, AJ Beckles, and Aleks Le.
