The official for the anime Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive has revealed a new overseas key visual as the series approaches its final episodes. The new artwork features a face-off between the two main characters, Himari and Yu, following the recent development. Studio J.C. Staff is animating, with Yohei Suzuki as the director. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.
The ongoing anime adaptation of Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? is being animated by J.C. Staff, with Youhei Suzuki directing and Nozu Yaemori handling the script. Natsuki Oyama serves as both character designer and chief animation director, while Jin Aketagawa oversees sound direction and Sakura Murakami leads the art direction. The main cast features Sayumi Suzushiro as Himari Inuzuka, Kikunosuke Toya as Yu Natsume, and Yuka Nukui as Rion Enomoto.
Nana Nanana writes the original Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) light novel with illustrations by Parum. It has been published under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label since 2021. Eleven volumes have been published as of April. There is also a manga adaptation by Kamelie. The story is described:
A coming-of-age love comedy about two high school students, the cheerful girl Himari Inuzuka, and the flower-loving boy Yu Natsume, who pledged eternal friendship in junior high school. The two had been best friends since junior high, but their destiny is thrown out of whack when Yu reunites with his first love from the past.
